Tote Bag
UX, UI, Digital Design
Tote Bag is a product design concept created as a graduation project for General Assembly’s User Experience Design course. As I was tasked to research and develop an idea for a digital product, I created a concept for a mobile app that would assist farmers market customers in localising vendors and pre-order specific goods, with the aim of facilitating the experience of shopping locally and supporting ethical consumers. After a research conducted on behaviours and habits of local farmers market attendees, and using tools such as interviews, discussion guides and competitor analysis, I was able to highlight specific product features that could lead the idea to its final optimisation and consequent monetisation.
Following the research, I started working on wireframing and prototyping, approaching the design process not only from a product design perspective but also thinking about its branding. The final result is a speculative exercise that, although it hasn’t gone through an extensive phase of testing, has offered a solid starting point to understand the journey of a digital product, from ideation to execution.
